Privacy and Personal Data Protection Statement

CGSoft is committed to protecting the confidentiality of the information provided to it and complies with the applicable Data Protection legislation.

CGSoft, still, collects personal data in the context of providing professional services (see below for more information). As part of this fundamental obligation, CGSoft is committed to protecting and using appropriately the personal information (often referred to as “personal data” or “PII”) collected either online, through the professional services it provides, or through communication/cooperation with any third party. In general, our purpose is to collect only the personal data voluntarily provided by online visitors, so that we can provide them with information and/or services or information about business opportunities.

Please review this Statement to learn more about how we collect, store, use, transfer and protect the information/personal data we receive.

1. Collection and use of Personal Data

We receive your personal data if you choose to provide it — for example, if you contact us via email or subscribe to our services. In some cases, you may have previously provided your Personal Data to CGSoft (if, for example, you are a former employee of CGSoft). If you choose to register or log in to a CGSoft website using a third-party single sign-on service that authenticates you and links your social media login information (eg LinkedIn, Google or Twitter) to CGSoft, we collect any information or content needed for registration or login that you have given the social media provider permission to share with us, such as your name and email address. The collection of other information may depend on the privacy settings you have established with your social media provider, so please review the relevant service’s privacy statement or policy.

By registering and/or submitting your personal data to CGSoft, you also consent to the use of that data in accordance with this Statement. Your personal data is not used for other purposes, unless we obtain your permission, or unless this is required or permitted by law, or professional standards. For example, if you register on a CGSoft website and provide information about your preferences, we will use that information to personalize your user experience. When you register or log in using a third-party single sign-on service, we may identify you as the same user, regardless of the use of different devices, and personalize your user experience on any other CGSoft websites you visit. If you send us your Curriculum Vitae (CV) in order to apply online for a job at CGSoft, we will use the information you provide us to see if you are a match for CGSoft’s existing job opportunities.

In some cases, where you have registered for certain services, we may temporarily store your email address until we receive confirmation of the information you provided by email (by sending an email to the address you provided as part of your registration to confirm the registration request).

CGSoft, generally, only collects personal data that are necessary to fulfill your requests. When additional and optional information is sought, you will be notified at the time the data is collected.

CGSoft collects “sensitive” personal data only when such individuals voluntarily offer us such data, or when such data is required or permitted by law. Please do not provide sensitive data to CGSoft, unless you hereby consent to CGSoft’s use of such data for its legitimate business purposes, and unless you consent to the transfer and storage of this data to and in CGSoft databases. If you have questions about whether the provision of sensitive personal data to CGSoft is, or could be, necessary for certain purposes, please contact CGSoft at dataprivacy@cgsoft.gr.

1.1. Automatic collection of Personal Data

In some cases, CGSoft and its service providers use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to automatically collect certain categories of data when you visit us online, as well as through the electronic messages we may exchange. The collection of this data allows us to personalize your online experience, to improve the performance, usability and effectiveness of CGSoft’s online presence and to evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing activities of our services.

1.1.1 IP Addresses

An IP address is a number assigned to your computer every time you access the internet. It allows computers and network service computers (servers) to identify and communicate with each other. The IP addresses from which visitors appear to originate may be recorded for information technology security and systems diagnostics purposes. This data may also be used in aggregated form in order to perform an analysis of website trends and performance.

1.1.2 Cookies

Cookies may be placed on your computer or your internet-enabled device, each time you visit us online. This allows the website to remember your computer or device, and it serves a lot of purposes. On some of our websites, a warning box (banner) will appear which will require your consent to the collection of cookies. If you do not provide consent, your computer or internet-enabled device will not be monitored for activities related to the promotion of services. A secondary type of cookies, referred to as “user-input” cookies, may be required in order to ensure the necessary functionality. These cookies will not be blocked by using this banner. Your selection will be stored in a cookie and will be valid for a period of 90 days. If you wish to revoke your choice, you can do so by deleting your browser’s cookies. Although most browsers automatically accept cookies, you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser settings (an option often found in your browser’s Tools or Preferences menu). 1.1.3 Google Analytics

CGSoft uses Google Analytics. More information about how Google Analytics is used by CGSoft, can be found here: http://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html. In order to provide website visitors with more choices about how their data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on communicates with Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) to indicate that information about visiting the website should not be sent to Google Analytics. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on does not prevent information from being sent to the website itself or to other web analytics services.

1.1.4 Web beacons

A web beacon is a small image file on a web page that can be used to collect certain data from your computer, such as IP addresses, the time the web page content was viewed, the type of browser, and the existence of cookies previously placed by the same network service computer (server). CGSoft uses web beacons only in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. CGSoft or its service providers may use web beacons to track the effectiveness of third party websites that provide us with recruitment or advertising services or to collect aggregate visitor statistics and manage cookies. You have the option to disable some web beacons by rejecting the relevant cookies. The web beacon will still be able to record an anonymous visit from your IP address, but the information from the cookies will not be recorded.

Any personal information you provide through such social media, may be collected and used by other members of that social media, and such exchanges are governed by the privacy policies of the companies providing the application.
